All characters are considered from common stock with little influence unless a character's background dictates otherwise.

 

If a player would like to play a character that is a high level city official, child to a wealthy merchant or even nobility, these may be options, but this should be discussed with a DM and approved upfront.

This allows the DM to post the information in the DM forums to ensure other DMs are aware of the PC's status and can respond appropriately.

 

This is to ensure we do not have situations where a PC interacting with the Desert Bandits share information such as they lead the theives guild in Mineral Hills and expect it to be true because they roleplayed it out.  This needs to be vetted with a DM as there may not be a theives guild or there may be an established NPC who leads the guild.

 

We do encourage players to be creative and we are always open to suggestions.
