Red Dragon Disciple

Red Dragon Disciple
The Red Dragon Disciple (RDD) is an Organizational Class meaning that taking a level of RDD on this server indicates that the character is a member of an organization. The organization in this case is going to be a clan of disciples that are well known to worship a Red Dragon. There is a settlement for RDD in the game and this is where all RDD blood really comes from.

The RDD blood line has not always stayed within the RDD settlement. In these cases, if the character does not know about their heritage, then they may go throughout their lives as a normal human. This should leave plenty of room for players to develop nearly any kind of background as an RDD. However, the information below should be wide spread amongst most RDD in the world.
History of the Red Dragon Disciples
Long before the time of man and even before the time of elves, dragons ruled the skies, land and sea of the entire world. There was an age of raw un-tampered magic where anything was possible. Since then the numbers of Dragons has been very limited. Thankfully, Dragons are very rare in this world, made up mostly of folk lore.

However, one dragon remains. His name is Lezal Lasknash. Lezal was a Dragon of pure evil that instead of leaving, merely slumbered in his mountain home for hundreds of years. Lezal finally awoke during the rise of man and he saw a world ripe for the taking.

In a short time, Lezal had enslaved the area surrounding his mountain home, quickly establishing his own power base. In only a matter of years Lezal had created an empire to rival that of some of the largest in the world. Using his impossible powers and the slave labor that his war campaign generated, Lezal had an entire crystal palace made for him on his mountain. Awe inspiring, it was one of the true wonders of the world.

It was a long time until people rose up and sought to stop Lezal. The elves in there arrogance sought to deal with the threat themselves, but Lezal made them pay a heavy price for their mistake. Not only was Lezal’s army a well trained war machine, but should the battle start to go astray he could cast impossible spells that not even the elves could master.

In the end; however, it would not be an epic army of all the races that defeated Lezal, rather he would be undone by betrayal. A human called Loran Tolus that had joined early on in Lezal’s empire had risen high within the ranks. Loran had quickly earned himself the commander of Lezal’s army and was given the honour of being able to meet Lezal inside the crystal palace. It was here that Loran waited for his master to become drowsy from a well earned victory feast, one cleverly drugged so that not even Lezal could detect it.

Loran was more than aware of Lezal’s vast arcane knowledge and he dreamed of having it himself. As Lezal slept, Loran used a powerful mind tapping spell he had prepared for, years in advance.

Regardless, Loran still underestimated Lezal’s power. Only a few moments of mind tapping went by when Lezal began to stir from his slumber. Panicking, Loran plucked a spell from Lezal’s mind and said it out loud as fast as he could just before the giant woke. Luckily, the spell was an incredibly powerful spell of binding that began to seal Lezal into the diamond of the walls of his palace. Lezal awoke and tried to fight against the spell, but even he could not undo what had already begun.

Loran chuckled madly and yelled up to Lezal, “Hahaha! Who’s the master now? Huh?! Hahaha! You should see the look on your face! Hahaha! Now with you sealed away, the empire will be all mine! And I can take your powers at my leisure! I hope you can keep your mind busy! Hahaha!”

Lezal’s arms and legs were already sealed to the palace floor and the spell was quickly taking over the rest of his body.

Losing time, Lezal quickly bent his neck down, bit off Loran’s head and said, “I hope you can grow back your head, you traitorous worm.”

Lezal chewed, swallowed and then let the spell bind him fully, deciding he may as well take this chance to sleep some more.

It did not take long for the elves to take advantage of this opportunity, they made short work of Lezal’s crumbling empire, freeing the people he enslaved. However, as they approached the crystal palace they could see the unmoving red shape deep within its walls. Wisely, they decided it was best not to disturb him...
Other Notes that Any RDD May Know

Most RDD live in Dragon City, a city that now sits below Lezal's Mountain. There they still give praise to Lezal, the Red Dragon, somehow.

Many RDD are quite evil and untrustworthy, some will try to kill outsiders on site.

RDD go through a maturity period (level 18) where they grow wings, horns and a tail. Characters looking like this should not expect to be welcome in a normal town. There is only one place that a mature RDD will be accepted and that is in Dragon City. This is considered the calling of Lezal and it will draw his remaining disciples in from around the world wherever they may be. Once they inherit the wings, horns and tail they get visions from Lezal and they will seek him.

Dragon City has many good items to trade. They have access to Lezal somehow so they use fallen scales and other discarded dragon parts to create powerful items that they sell to further the glory of the Dragon.

Lezal frequently requires an offering of innocent flesh and blood.
