Dylan Nemanja

God of Matter - Dylan Nemanja

Dylan Nemanja is one of the true Gods. He resides in the Plane of Matter from where he guides his loyal followers of the Material Plane with his wisdom and discipline.

History

After the tragedy of the fall only a few great human mages survived, among them was a man called Dylan.  Many of these great mages tried to take refuge with the elves, thinking that their alliance still stood, however the elves would not even meet with them. For awhile the mages tried to band together, in order to help each other, but over the years they grew distant with each other until finally they left to seek their own refuge. Each would lead secluded lives, until each died of old age.

Dylan was different however. Not content with giving up on life he sought to try and help rebuild what was left of humanity. Traveling across the valley and visiting the small settlements that people had tried to build he sought a way to make sure humanity survived this trial. Using the guise of an old hermit Dylan would give out his wisdom to the local people.

Dylan taught humanity what it needed to know in order to survive in the small and hostile valley from fishing, farming, hunting and other basics for survival. While Dylan couldn’t organize people back into a proper civilization, since he was just a passing hermit, he made sure that the seeds were set so that humanity would survive.

During his travels he ascended as a new deity, making his home on the Plane of Matter. From his castle of grain he watches over humanity, not caring for its inner strife’s, or the monsters that threaten their homes, rather he just makes sure that in the end, humanity will survive.

Church

The church of the Earth Father watches over the daily struggles of normal people. Its members are given the responsibility of helping and teaching people knowledge that they lack, or need.

The church is mainly made up of teachers and healers and doesn’t really have a militia or holy order of knights like many other religions have.  But if threatened the church of the Earth Father is famous for its ability to manipulate the earth in order to defend itself, thus many clerics of the order focus on spells that can achieve this.

The church takes on a solid stance on being neutral, never picking one side over another in a conflict. Because of this the church is considered a good place to negotiate between factions, any act of violence is quickly dealt with.
